The one advantage I do see is the Chief and Cortana's prior knowledge of the Halo installations. This will actually give MC the added benefit of teleportation from the halo grid as well as the possibility of help from 343 guilty spark, all of the Halo's sentinels, and any other defenses the ring has.

Mostly fly around as an army of laser guns.
